1. What are PP woven bags?

Let’s break this question into three sections.

1) Woven.

Woven, or weaving is an approach by several strings or tapes woven in two directions (warp and also weft), to form a fabric for plastic industry requirements.
In the plastic woven industry, with a plastic film is drawn right into filaments, then woven right into fabric/sheet/cloth. It can be into a tarpaulin, woven bags, FIBC, geotextile materials, colored cloth and more.

To shape the plastic film into a fiber, it’s a kind of technic which was involved by the industry of plastic, but for the process of weaving filament into PP woven fabric, it should be classified into textile industry. Different industry classification leads an important difference of index which is used to describe thickness of fabric. In plastic industry, GSM( grams per square meter) is more commonly taken, but in industry of textile, it’s more frequently to use Denier. How to covert gsm to denier? A broad formula to convert is,

For detailed information, please refer to our technical article How to cover denier of pp woven fabric to gsm.

2) Woven polypropylene.

Polypropylene, which is likewise referred to as PP for short name, it’s a kind of thermoplastic resin material that generated by the polymerization of propylene.
Woven polypropylene is polypropylene tapes/threads that have actually been woven in two instructions (warp and also weft) to shape a light, yet solid as well as strong material.

3) PP Woven bags.

Construct with circular woven polypropylene material, slit the circular woven fabric into a certain length pieces, one side sewn as bottom, leave the top side open, there the basic type of PP woven bags is simply done.

2. Various names of PP woven bags.

1) PP Woven bags = PP woven sacks

When we talking about a BAG, we mean a flexible container which is made by plastic, paper or cloth etc. And SACK is a kind of bag, especially a large bag made by strong, coarse material for storage and handling of various commodities, such as grains, fertilizer, feeds, rice and so on. Though we suppose there must be some difference when people just start to use words of ‘bag’ and ‘sack’, users now are treating them the same, they just choose either bag or sack as they like. As we experienced, more users are using BAG than SACK nowadays.

2) Different names of PP Woven bags.

Woven polypropylene bags, PP bags, WPP bags, Woven bags, Woven PP sacks, Woven Poly bags, Polypropylene sacks.

3) Application names of PP woven bags.

Rice bags, sugar bags, flour bags, salt bags, fertilizer bags, chemical bags, sandbags, cloth bags, activated carbon bags, grain bags, seed bags, feed bags, big bags…
